Floating Classrooms: Adapting to
Climate Crises

In Bangladesh, climate change has intensified flooding, disrupting lives and education. Rising waters create barriers, but children remain eager to learn; they just need a way to reach the classroom. Our floating classrooms are the way forward. These school boats navigate flood-prone areas, transforming into learning spaces along waterways. Our boats pick up students who are ready. They board. The lesson starts. Your Zakat this Ramadan opens doors that change everything for a child waiting to begin.

Our climate-resilient boat schools reach 420 students in flood-prone Bangladesh.

Our innovative project combines 10 land-based and 4 boat-based classrooms serving hard-to-reach areas. The boats act as both transport and floating schools, adapting to severe flooding. We follow a government-accredited national curriculum, enabling students to transition to formal education. When rising waters isolate communities, your Zakat ensures learning doesn’t stop; it finds a way through.

From Floods to First Lessons: Mujib's story shows
why education matters.

Mujib’s family, displaced by floods and river erosion, now lives in a flood-prone area where he often misses school. Through our climate education workshops, Mujib has gained awareness about how the climate crisis affects his life. He now actively shares his experiences, encouraging classmates to protect the environment. This project ensures that children like Mujib can continue their education, regardless of the environmental challenges.
