Read on Wheels – Mobile Libraries
Ever wanted to share a great book?
With our ‘Read on Wheels’ programme we want to help disadvantaged children, deprived of education and with little access to books, to discover the gateway to their future.
Many of these children live in remote, rural communities or refugee camps. They have low levels of literacy and no experience or exposure to a culture of reading. They sadly grow up in a childhood that has not been enriched by story books. This is due to both a lack of resources, as well as a lack of nurturing, in this direction.
We want to encourage these children to dream big and achieve well.
