Renovation injects life back into old schools

Renovating schools is just as important to us as building new ones, as we recognise that if we are to have any chance of meeting the global shortage in classrooms, old schools must be renovated and revitalised. We’ve witnessed time and again that renovation not only improves the space for existing children to excel but also creates new classroom places by attracting the interest of families wanting to send their children to a safe, clean and modern school.

A typical school renovation receives

Repair & Refurbishment
The school is refurbished from the inside and the outside including landscaping to create a safe and pleasant environment.
Sanitation & Safe Water
Wash rooms and safe drinking water facilities are installed for the benefit of pupils and staff to increase safety and reduce illness.
New Furniture
Classroom and office furniture is provided for pupils and staff enabling ergonomics, secure storage, and improved in-class participation.
Learning Equipment
Equipment needs vary but generally this will include a combination of classroom, science, library, computer and sports equipment.

Dedicated design and construction team

We have a crack team of designers and construction specialists that oversee every new school build and renovation. Over the past ten years these unsung heroes have pulled off amazing feats to complete the renovation of as many schools as they possibly can.

Before and after: Islampura School

Islampura School before renovation

Islampura School before renovation

Due to a lack of furniture, learning equipment and safe water drinking facilities, the children at Islampura School felt uncomfortable and didn’t enjoy school. Recess for the majority of children is the most favoured part of the school day but not for these kids, who had nowhere to play because of inadequate recreation facilities at the school.

The completed refurbishment has resulted in a much brighter environment which in turn has increased the energy in the classroom with many more children taking part. The children now have new learning aids to help them to excel, safe drinking water, and a landscaped area for recess with gleaming new slides and swings to play on.
