Education Across Pakistan
Pakistan has 22.8 million children out of school, the second highest globally. READ Foundation tackles this through building schools in remote villages, sponsoring orphans, running girls’ literacy programmes, supporting university students, and bringing mobile libraries to remote areas. Girls facing early marriage get safe classrooms. Orphans get to school and receive living support. Remote villages get school buildings with playgrounds and labs. Different solutions for different barriers, empowering communities to grow stronger.
Every child we educate finds protection, hope, and a way out of poverty.
Right now, orphans are getting an education instead of work. Girls facing early marriage are sitting in classrooms. Remote villages finally have schools where none existed before. Talented students are reaching medical school despite growing up in poverty. We’ve sponsored over 8,000 orphans so far, and we’re building 19 more schools. When you support education in Pakistan, this is the impact you create.

Frequently Asked Questions
Your donation supports children who face the biggest barriers to education. Orphans who need help to stay in school, girls who missed years of learning, and students in remote communities where classrooms are scarce. It also strengthens families and schools with the practical support that keeps education doors open.
Orphan Sponsorship helps cover school costs, supplies, and a monthly stipend, so a child can stay in class, and a caregiver has less burden at home. We also build safeguarding into the programme, so children learn in a safe, supportive environment.
We build and open schools in underserved areas and improve learning spaces so children can study close to home. Schools may include basics like clean WASH facilities and spaces that make learning less challenging.
We take safeguarding seriously. In our community learning spaces, we train teachers, parents, and local education committees, and we share child-friendly materials in local languages. We also use clear feedback routes, like complaint and suggestion boxes, so girls can speak up when they need help.
