Temporary Learning Centre
The conflict in Syria left a deep impact on Rama’s mental health. After she was displaced at 14, the turmoil rocked her life. It made her anxious about her purpose and direction in life. She became withdrawn and uninterested in socializing with her friends.
The Temporary Learning Centre in Azaz offered her hope she had lost. With the help of the psychosocial support from our well-trained staff, she began to rediscover herself and her passion for life.
Rama returned to school keener and more optimistic. She developed a newfound passion for Arabic studies and discovered a love for drawing. She now aspires to become an artist.
The psychosocial support programme taught Rama how to face problems without fear and how to be strong in difficult circumstances.
“When I’m at the Temporary Learning Centre, I feel like I’m at home,” she says.
The centre gave Rama what she needed to move forward: a safe space to learn, support to heal, and the confidence to dream again.
