Muskan is a Grade 7 student at READ Foundation High School in Khunbandi. She was three years old when her father died from an electric shock that led to a heart attack. His sudden death left the family without a stable source of income.
Muskan’s mother had four children to care for and no steady means of support.
For years, the family lived with uncertainty about which child would have to leave school next.
READ Foundation’s Orphan Sponsorship Programme removed that fear by supporting their education. Muskan receives free education, uniforms, shoes, books, and stationery. Her siblings receive similar support. The family can now meet their basic needs without worrying about school expenses.
Muskan stays focused on her studies despite everything her family has faced. Her mother says the support has been a blessing.
