Orphan Sponsorship Programme

Muhammad Sadaqat, 8, dreams of becoming an army officer. But a few years ago, that dream almost disappeared when his father died in a tragic cloudburst disaster.

His mother, Shamim, was left to raise her children alone in a small, single-room shelter made of mud and wood. She depends on her brother for support, but his help comes irregularly and doesn’t cover everything the family needs, let alone children’s education.

“When we were left alone after the loss of our father, the grief was overwhelming, and the future seemed uncertain,” Sadaqat says.

Through sponsorship, Sadaqat now attends READ Foundation School in Maira Khurd with everything he needs: uniforms, shoes, textbooks, and stationery. His mother receives a quarterly cash stipend for food, clothing, and healthcare.

“While others may worry about how to afford school, I can concentrate fully on my studies,” Sadaqat says. “That freedom to learn without fear is the greatest gift this project has given me.”

Your donations provide that freedom.
