Did you know that every year Women’s Equality Day is marked on the 26th August?

This is to highlight the importance of female participation and equality in all spheres of life and society.

With events taking place across the world –the day is a reminder to celebrate to achievements of women who are making a difference in their communities despite the disadvantage and social barriers they face.

Cultural attitudes, financial difficulties and a lack of opportunities prevent girls and young women from completing their education and achieving their full potential.

At READ Foundation, we are committed to supporting female equality and empowerment through the provision of education and learning opportunities for disadvantaged children. This has helped tens of thousands of girls receive an education and build a more equitable world.
